Charles Albert Deister, born 7 February 1904 in Christian County Illinois (German Catholic family). Married Anna L. Duggan c.1925. Two known sons: Robert Deister (b. ~1928, still living 2026 — Brant's step-grandfather) and Thomas Harold 'T.D.' Deister (1930-2009). Member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church Decatur. Died 28 April 1993 in Decatur Macon County Illinois. Brant Hindman's step-great-grandfather on the maternal side via Robert Deister's marriage to Hope Blair.
